AnimeLatino Convention Policies
Policies & Protocols
We at AnimeLatino want you to have the best time possible at the convention, but to do that, you as an attendee should be aware of some of our safety and event policies. If you have any questions on-site at the event, feel free to ask at any of the Information Desk locations. We remain committed to policy that promotes diversity, inclusion, and equity.
Accessibility Services
SERVICES FOR ATTENDEES WITH DISABILITIES, MEDICAL CONDITIONS, OR CHILDREN
AnimeLatino is happy to provide accessibility services to help make the con experience as easy and enjoyable as possible for everyone. Due to resource limits, con staff may discuss reasonable accommodations with you to attempt to meet your specific needs.
ECV & Wheelchair Rentals: The Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC) has mobility scooters available for rent on-site at the main registration desk lobby. Only certified mobility devices approved by the GWCC are allowed indoors.
Registration Desk Aid: Individuals with mobility limitations or difficulty standing for long periods can proceed directly to the registration desk labeled "Accessibility Services" for priority assistance.
Main Events Seating: Each large programming room features dedicated spaces for wheelchairs and ECVs. Please notify the door staff if you require special seating accommodations (e.g., end-of-row or close to the front).
Trained service dogs are welcome throughout the Georgia World Congress Center and Omni Hotel. Owners must retain control of their animals at all times using a leash or harness.
Pets, companion animals, therapy animals, and emotional support animals (ESAs) are strictly prohibited inside con event spaces.
Bringing untrained pets into a crowded convention space poses severe safety risks to the animals themselves, attendees, and working service dogs. Other attendees must refrain from harassing or petting service animals.
Convention Protocols & Conduct
We remain attentive to public health advice and recommendations. Vaccine checks and masks are currently NOT required to enter AnimeLatino, though masks are highly encouraged inside panel spaces.
Please monitor your health before coming to the event. If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or feeling unwell, please stay home and contact our team for assistance regarding your tickets.
AnimeLatino is committed to offering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable event where all attendees, volunteers, and staff are treated with dignity and respect. Fandom belongs to everyone, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or age.
We expect transparent and respectful communication across all events, panels, and digital forums, fostering a warm community of friends.
We love cosplay and prop-making! However, safety is our primary concern. Props must be inspected and peace-bonded at our security check stations near registration.
- Live Steel: All metal blades, live steel, and sharp weapons (sharpened or not) are strictly prohibited.
- Oversized Props: Props exceeding 6 feet in length or 30 lbs in weight will be evaluated case-by-case to prevent mobility hazards.
- Bows & Projectiles: Bows must be strung loosely and incapable of firing projectiles. Arrowheads must be soft rubber or foam.
- No Brandishing: Do not point prop weapons at other attendees outside of posed photos.
Harassment-Free Event: We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for harassment of any kind. This includes stalking, deliberate intimidation, unwelcome physical contact, or offensive verbal comments related to protected classes.
If you see something, say something! Report any unsafe behaviors to con safety staff, info desks, or professional security guards on-site immediately.
To keep the event secure, AnimeLatino employs badging operations, physical bag screenings at specific event entries, monitored security surveillance cameras, and patrol guards.
Always wear your event credential badges visibly. Keep your personal property secure at all times; con staff and the venue are not responsible for unattended items.
Disruptive Behavior: Heckling, public intoxication, fighting, or basic hygiene negligence will result in warnings or expulsion from con spaces.
Smoking & Vaping: Strictly prohibited inside the Georgia World Congress Center and Omni hotel event areas.
Lost Badges: Cannot be replaced. We recommend taking a photo of your badge details on your phone in case it goes missing.
Signage: Signs that are not an integrated part of a specific cosplay prop (e.g., "Free Hugs", "Will do x for y") are strictly banned.
To avoid security issues, do not bring these items onto convention floors:
- Unapproved prop weapons (live steel, realistic metal replica firearms without orange tip).
- Inappropriate, highly offensive shirts or clothing items.
- Alcohol or illegal substances.
- Heavy metal linked chains, roller skates, skateboards, or stilts inside carpeted con spaces.
- Wares/merchandise to sell if you are not a registered Artist Row or Dealer vendor.
By purchasing a con membership and attending, you consent to photography, audio recording, and video recording by AnimeLatino and its designated representatives for promotional and marketing purposes.
Photography is highly encouraged! However, please respect other attendees' personal boundaries; if someone requests not to be photographed, please comply immediately.
